BellyPlanet was born out of the desire of renowned belly dancer Amira to have a place to present her products, and others she recommends. Her personal site, www.amirasbelly.com, is first and foremost a growing resource for the belly dance community, as well as a place to share her own vision. In order to keep it just that, the need arose to open a separate store where she could offer her own products, such as the widely acclaimed "Amira's Bellydance 101" Instructional DVD, and many others.
It is Amira's vision, and promise, to offer only the best quality products that can be found. The ever expanding Middle Eastern music and DVD sections offer some of the most sought after Arabic music available. The Bellydance clothing section includes a selection of Amira's exclusive clothing designs. Please check back regularly as products are being added all the time.

Amira’s mission statement. This is the philosophy that drives our business:
Many people who have had a positive life-changing experience want to share with others because it has transforming effect and it means so much to them.
The same here - bellydance has changed my life. It has completely changed my view of how I pictured myself before, reversed priorities and how I see myself in the world. This experience has been so powerful that I literally feel the need to share it with others.
My goal is to show women all over the world that they are beautiful just the way they are not the way the society expects or trends are.
Through bellydance women can learn to look at themselves from inside out not the other way around. By transforming inside out they can learn and appreciate their bodies and feel beautiful. Inner beauty develops from non-judging confidence, self-respect and self-love. The world needs this beauty – inner beauty and love that is unconditional and kind. This kind of inner beauty reflects and spreads around, therefore can make this world a better place in general.
I want to take this message to as many people as possible, it is simple and it works. Bellydance is a wonderful tool to create self-acceptance.
